Continuing Medical Education Information for “Remembering Polio” Symposium

Course Objective
To improve knowledge of physicians and other providers related to the history of the polio vaccine and its application to current topics.

Who Should Attend
Physicians, researchers, and other health care providers in a variety of disciplines, as well as members of the community, students, and others interested in the history and future of the polio vaccine and of vaccination in general.

Continuing Education Credit
The University of Pittsburgh is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10.25 Category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Other health care professionals are awarded 1.025 continuing education units (CEU’s) which are equal to 10.25 contact hours.
